The news media should be blamed for the unhealthy paparazzi culture and going to the extremes for sensational news. How far do you agree?
I agree with this question to an extent because of a few reasons which I will mention in this blog prompt. Firstly, I feel that the news media should be blamed partially for the unhealthy paparazzi culture because they exaggerated the news. Also, they did not care about the feelings of the victims. In some cases, the news media even cooked up a story that was not there in the first place just to increase readership and earn money. They did not even care about the feelings of the victims. Thus, the news media should be blamed for exaggerating the news without considering about the feelings of the victims involved in these cases.
However, we should not put the blame entirely on the news media. There are reasons for their actions. Firstly, they need to earn money and increase the sale of the newspaper. Most people prefer reading gossips and news media have to often publish gossips to attract readers and increase their readership. Thus, we cannot place the blame entirely on the news media and these are also several factors we can consider. Thus, I only partially agree that the news media should be blamed for the unhealthy paparazzi culture and going to the extremes for sensational news.
